Whisky a go go April 1st 2009 Joloda is supplying
another four aluminium
slatted moving floor
vehicles into 12m
aluminium trailer bodies
to McPhersons Transport.
The Scotland-based hauler
operates the Chivas Regal
contract.
The system is designed
to automatically load and
unload 96 barrels of
whisky at 9m/minute in
one go.
The moving floor then
unloads and loads by
forklift at the remote bond
storage sites by indexing
double stacked pallets
forwards and backwards
with a 10 second time
delay controlled by
infrared beams and photo
electric cells.
The moving floors are
fitted with the Joloda
skate and track systems
for emergency offloading
in case of power failure.
This consists of a track
flush with the moving
floor in which runs a set
of Joloda skates. When
elevated the load
becomes live and can
then be easily removed. More articles from Joloda International Ltd: |
