Clarks' EcoCooling saver

Clarks Shoes has implemented energy saving evaporative cooling systems to cool two mezzanine floors at its Somerset warehouse.

A total of 12 EcoCooling units installed in four banks of three feed the two levels, and can run in either ventilation or cooling modes.

Each is controlled by a combined Hygro-thermostat which automatically sets the fan speed and cooling mode.

EcoCooling says the units provide air conditioning at just 10% of traditional air con costs and with a mere 15% of its carbon impact.
