Mezzanine makes space

Business Post has awarded Welconstruct Customer Service Solutions a further contract to create a mail sortation centre through the installation of a mezzanine floor with goods lift - this time at its Leicester hub.

Welconstruct’s first job for Business Post was a twostorey mezzanine, creating 9000ft2 of office space at its Birmingham HQ.

"Our objective was to create space of approximately 2000ft2 for new sortation equipment within the existing distribution hub and a mezzanine was the best way to achieve this," says Paul Hutchinson, Business Post’s group property manager. "It was imperative that no operating warehouse floor space was lost and we wanted to connect the mezzanine to existing offices. Welconstruct clearly understood our needs and tailored its proposal to meet them.

"The project was meticulously planned and completed within a three month time period."
