Kaba doors offer new lease of light

Fitting doors from Kaba Door Systems has transformed an old water and sewerage valve factory into bright new engineering premises.

Kaba fitted five panoramic sectional overhead doors, one to each of the building’s five gable ends. Replacing existing doors and creating new entrances for loading and deliveries, Kaba installed one of the doors with an electrical operation system and two with a chain hoist.

Two non-operational false door panels completed the refurbishment and finished the building’s new uniformed appearance. A pass door was also fitted in one of the overhead doors to provide easy pedestrian access.

The glass and metal design of the sectional overheads provides maximum light in the working area. “I’m really pleased with the result,” says Glenfield purchasing manager, Jim McAllister.
