Yardlift negates the need for a further forklift April 1st 2006 Thanks to a Truckloada mobile yardlift from Thorworld Industries, Brother has been able to add an extra loading dock at its distribution complex without having to incur the costs of buying an additional forklift or associated civil engineering work.
Brother, manufacturers of a diverse product range, needed a new, dedicated loading dock for use by TNT, the carrier who collects and delivers its small packages for next day delivery.
With existing forklifts already working flat out, the Truckloada has avoided the need to buy or lease an additional machine, and there are no on-going costs such as operator training.
Also, as the outside area in front of the new bay's roller shutter doors was on an incline, installing the Truckloada meant there was no need to level the ground.
The model chosen has a 3000kg capacity. Holding up to four pallets, one man can load a 45ft long container using a hand or pedestrian truck. More articles from Thorworld Industries: |
