Protective cover for packing December 1st 2005 The installation of a CopriSystems canopy at Banta Global in Limerick is reported to have helped halved the company's delivery schedule time and provided a useful undercover area on site.
Preparing documentation products for its customer, Banta was looking for additional protective cover for its packing operation.
Banta imports the full range of accessories required for its product into its factory. The parts are assembled, packed and then delivered to the customer site.
Previously Banta was delivering on a 20 minute schedule. Thanks to the CopriSystems canopy building that time has now been reduced to just 10 minutes.
Working around the space limitations on site, Coprisystems installed the rear wall mounted canopy over existing warehouse doors. Incoming goods are now delivered through these doors providing full weather protection for forklift truck operators and materials.
Dock doors previously used for incoming goods are now used for finished goods deliveries to the customer.
Banta is also using the canopy as part of a waste management programme.
Skips are parked inside the canopy to avoid exposure and accumulation of rain water. More articles from CopriSystems Ltd: |
