Reductions in heat loss of up to 75%
June 1st 2006

Crawford has introduced two cost effective, modular loading bay systems, designed specifically for temperature sensitive applications such as chilled stores. Compared to traditional solutions, the Hafa ISO-Dock and Hafa Thermo-Dock systems promise reductions in heat/loss ingress of up to 75%, yet offer straight forward installation and minimal maintenance requirements.

In conventional loading bay designs, warm or cold air from within the building often escapes from underneath the dock leveller. Problems can also occur in chilled environments when the sun heats the external, exposed areas of the dock leveller and the heat is conducted into the building itself.

The ISO-Dock overcomes these limitations by incorporating an insulated door that, when lowered, completely encloses the dock leveller and then seals with a second insulated panel beneath it. Heat loss or ingress below the leveller is therefore eliminated without hindering vehicle access.
