Energy efficient air curtains, such as those supplied by Airbloc, can be positioned directly over or down the side of a doorway. The air curtain delivers a ‘sheet’ of air at constant velocity that effectively separates the interior and exterior environments. This allows doors to remain open with relatively little detriment to comfort conditions inside the building.

The air curtain may be heated or ambient (unheated) to suit the warehouse’s requirements. They can also be configured to recirculate warmed air within the building, adding to the energy efficiency and economy of the unit.

Air curtains are so effective in separating internal and external environments that doorways can remain open all day with very little effect on the heating system’s energy consumption.
