Additional dockside storage February 1st 2004 When the Port of Port Arthur on the Texas Gulf Coast needed additional dockside warehouse space, it turned to Rubb Buildings associated company in the US, Rubb Inc., to provide an innovative and cost effective solution.
Taking just seven months to complete, the structure provided is a 67 by 160m BVE range bi-link building with 9.76m side walls. It provides an additional 100,000ft2 of transit storage, as well as covering the railroad siding. It has been designed to meet stringent Gulf Coast building requirements, including winds of 130mph.
Six 10.97 by 7.3m high bi-parting Norco doors provide access dockside and at the sides of the building. The lighting system automatically turns off the lights during daylight to provide energy savings. More articles from Rubb Building Systems: |
