December 1st 2006 Galebreaker Industrial was born out of Galebreaker products' twenty years experience designing and manufacturing high quality partitioning screens and doors. Industrial sales manager, Jamie Wilde explains what customers of Galebreaker Industrial can expect In 1984, Galebreaker products had a turnover of under £250K and employed only for members of staff in a small farm office building. Over the next two decades this dramatically changed. Galebreaker moved into 7000ft2 premises, and realised a successful distribution network of agricultural products throughout the UK and Europe. But it didn't stop there. One of the most exciting developments for the company within recent years has been the launch of its new industrial division – Galebreaker Industrial. With the aim of servicing logistics, warehousing and distribution businesses throughout the UK, this division has started to provide specific industrial products such as external weather screens, internal partitioning and rapid rise doors. Today in 2006, GBR Industries has expanded to achieve a £2.75m turnover and employs 23 members of staff at its 13,500ft2 factory premises based in Mitcheldean, Gloucestershire. Galebreaker Industrial The Industrial division of Galebreaker benefits from Galebreaker's 20 years experience in designing and manufacturing high quality partitioning screens and doors, providing fabric technology solutions for industry, both indoors and out. With the latest computer design software, fabric welding and sewing facilities, all Galebreaker products are durable, lightweight, flame retardant, and a cost effective solution for external weather protection, internal partitioning and industrial door requirements. Whether trying to reduce heat loss, stop wind, rain, dust and contamination, protect from fire, reduce noise, or simply adhere to the latest legislation, Galebreaker can provide a tailormade solution. Galebreaker has a qualified and experienced fitting team who will install products on site with the minimum of fuss, offering a turnkey solution for businesses worldwide. Practical applications There are three key practical applications that distinguish the Galebreaker range: Firstly, it offers external weather protection. Rolling, sliding, folding or static screen systems are aimed at protecting and providing access to all types of buildings, factories and loading bays. The tough fabric design offers maximum weather protection whilst also maintaining a light and airy working environment. All the company's screens and doors are self-tensioning, quick to install and conducive to providing a working environment that is safer, more comfortable and productive. Secondly, Internal Partitioning solutions are an important part of Galebreaker's output. For the Brecon Water Bottling plant, for example, that requires a high level of cleanliness in the production area, such a feature is crucial. Galebreaker's standard Flexipart material is often used to partition different processing lines, and in this case, clearly separate the production department from the warehouse whilst still maintaining access. With Galebreaker's "V" joint system, a sealed partition can contain dust and fumes, provide a firewall, prevent contamination and reduce hazards to operatives. Finally, Rapid Door systems are a core part of Galebreaker's sphere of operations. Incorporating mesh or solid panels, and suiting internal and external openings up to 6m x 6m in factories, warehouses, garden centres, loading bay areas, etc., they can be used to stop draughts, reduce heat loss, stop ingress of insects and birds, and even work well in conjunction with steel roller shutter doors.
