Option to move as site is developed April 1st 2006 Collinson has supplied and erected a BestHall Tension Membrane building for Martin Butterly at the company's Drogheda Port site, to increase on-quay storage and improve efficiency.
Storage remote from the quay was causing significant logistics issues, so the decision was made to increase the facilities available at the berth.
A Collinson Besthall building was chosen for two main reasons: the favourable price, and the relocatable design of the structure. The site is leased from the Drogheda Port Company. By opting for the Besthall building, Martin Butterly retains the option to move as the site is developed.
The new building is 100m by 22m by 7m wall height, giving 2200m2 of covered storage. Erection was completed in less than five weeks, by Collinson's five man team, on to a ready prepared asphalt base. More articles from Collinson plc: |
