Planned lighting maintenance programme

To ensure that lighting at the Eastgate Shopping Centre in Inverness is maintained to the highest level, Parkersell (Lighting & Electrical) Services was appointed to carry out a comprehensive planned lighting maintenance programme.

Following a survey of all the lighting in both the original and newer phase of the centre, a planned lighting maintenance regime was proposed that integrated the needs of both areas.

In the retail mall, discharge, compact fluorescent and fluorescent lamps are cleaned and relamped on a planned basis; in the car park mainly compact fluorescent lamps are maintained.

Most of the work is undertaken during the day without any disruption to the centre. However, high access areas that require scissor lifts are maintained at night.

Parkersell provides the Centre with lamp recycling services that ensure all fluorescent lamps are disposed of in accordance with the latest WEEE regulations.
