Relocatable again and again... April 1st 2006 Companies are often faced with a dilemma when increased demand for storage facilities occurs at a time when longer-term development of the site is being considered. If a traditional building was erected it might have to be demolished at a later date, both costly exercises. As a manufacturer of relocatable structures, Rubb Buildings has a solution.
In 1997 Rubb erected one of its standard BVE buildings, 30m x 30m with 6mhigh sidewalls, as a temporary waste transfer station at North Shields. Once construction of the permanent facility had been completed the building was taken down and stored for future use. The components of the building, stretched flame retardant PVC covered polyester over a hot dip galvanised steel frame, were easy to dismantle and economical to store in a corner of the site.
Later on, temporary use of the building was needed again, this time at Scunthorpe, where itwas transported to and reerected in a couple ofweeks. More articles from Rubb Building Systems: |
