Beam system protects Polish project

A total of 22 Fireray 5000 auto-aligning, autooptimising beam-type smoke detectors from Fire Fighting Enterprises (FFE) have been provided as part of a fire protection system by Honeywell Life Safety Austria for a new production and storage facility in Poland.

Fireray 5000 reflective beam detectors protect the high-ceilinged storage area.

The company says point detection would be inefficient compared to the coverage beam detectors can offer.

The building is constructed with steel elements, so is susceptible to movement brought about by changing temperature. The Fireray 5000's AutoAlign and AutoOptimise technology can compensate for this automatically to keep the beam on target to help maximise efficiency.
