Protective shelters for Scottish smokers October 1st 2006 The Gleneagles Hotel is a Five Red Star golf resort set in 850 acres of stunning scenery in Perthshire, Scotland which is renowned the world over for the way it looks after its guests. On this occasion it's the staff that have been well catered for.
With the introduction of Smoking Regulations in Scotland the hotel has invested in a smoking shelter to allow those members of staff that choose to smoke to have a designated area that protects them from the elements whilst complying with the 50% open section of the Scottish Regulations.
After some research and investigation, the Gleneagles Hotel chose to commission a custom built solution from Walter Page, suppliers of shelters and outside ashtrays. A 6m x 2m x 2.1m high shelter was installed in time for them to be fully compliant. More articles from Walter Page (Safeways) Ltd.: |
