Baler will pay for itself in a year October 1st 2004 Cryovac Sealed Air Corporation has improved its environmental strategy by upgrading its waste disposal system with the help of Pakawaste.
After a site survey, Pakawaste recommended the installation of a Powerkube XL mill sized horizontal baler. The Powercube XL reduces waste volume by up to 90%. It is pressed into mill sized bales measuring 1143 x 1490 x 762mm, weighing approximately 500kg each. The machine has a potential throughput of 2000kg per hour.
The Powerkube installed for Cryovac is fitted with an over-the-back bin lifting facility, which allows containers to be emptied into the filling aperture quickly and easily.
Previously Cryovac was disposing of waste by compacting and sending it to landfill. This was proving costly and was not environmentally efficient. It is envisaged that the revenue from the baled waste will pay for the machine within a year. More articles from Pakawaste Limited: |
