Lifting system solves pallet problem

When corrugated board manufacturer, Smurfit Sheetfeeding, identified the repetitive handling of pallets from a stack to a pallet loading station as a potential manual handling problem, it called on Palamatic Handling Systems to provide a solution.

A lifting system was designed to deal with pallets of different sizes ranging from to 25 to 80kg. The Pallets are pushed along a conveyor underneath the corrugated boards and these are then strapped for transportation.

The equipment installed was a vacuum lifting system suspended on an ergonomic light-weight aluminium H track gantry system to cover a large work area.
