Further warehousing leased
June 1st 2009 To cater for a substantial
increase in demand for
storage for existing contracts
and to cater for additional
new business, Meachers
Group has leased a further
30,000ft2 of warehousing,
adjacent to its 5-acre site in
Nursling. This means,
Meachers now manages well
in excess of 100,000ft2 of
warehousing at its
Southampton headquarters.
The new facilities,
contracted from April, bring
the total amount of
warehousing managed by
the company to in excess of
300,000ft2. The Meachers
Group now runs seven
warehouse facilities at its two
locations in Derby and
Southampton.
Both operations will
continue to manage flow of
goods and services for
customers to ensure the
seamless operation of
products, from initial
collection through to final
distribution. The
warehousing operation will
include a range of facilities
such as devanning,
palletising and storage,
picking, labelling and
distribution to customers
