Fast, powerful compactor October 1st 2004 A specially designed, Simpak 1800 from Randalls Fabrications has been supplied to meet the hectic demands of Bristol’s busy wholesale fruit and vegetable market at St.
Phillip’s Marsh.
One of a comprehensive range of Randalls compactors, the Simpak 1800 has a 1.7m3 charge box and a 7.5kW motor, processing up to 140m3 per hour at a compaction force of 28,000Kgf.
In this case the hopper has been modified for tippler and forklift use by including a large left-handed opening interlocked door. This means the compactor can be loaded from above by lifting up wheelie bins and also through the door, direct from pallets on forklifts.
All waste from the site – with the exception of wood, cardboard, paper and plastics, which are recycled – is compacted. Fast and powerful, the Simpak 1800 compacts waste so efficiently that an average of eight tonnes can be removed in one load. |
