Liberate battery management
August 1st 2005

Chloride Motive Power claims its new ‘Liberator’ product and service offering will revolutionise the market.

Suitable for light to heavy duty applications, three packages – Silver, Gold and Platinum – are available.

Liberator Silver gives up to 120 days between maintenance intervals. The range consists of a comprehensive choice of DIN and BS cell options in a low maintenance design.

Although costing slightly more than a standard motive power battery, CMP says whole life cost savings of 20% minimum are achieved when linked to the HF charger, Aquajet watering and air ancillaries.

Liberator Gold enables up to 200 days between maintenance intervals. Low maintenance is achievable due to the reliable tubular plate technology and low plate height which results in a greater electrolyte reserve, according to CMP. Liberator Gold is also supplied with a battery monitoring sensor and refilling system. Both Silver and Gold have optional extras.

Liberator Platinum is a ‘totally hands-off solution,’ according to CMP, whereby its technicians will carry out every aspect of maintenance and servicing. Featuring the latest technology and a comprehensive monitoring system, packages can be tailored to customer needs after an on-site survey which covers equipment, logistics and health & safety aspects.

Nigel Darke, business director of Exide Technologies Industrial Energy Group says: “It’s a win win situation for the client and us: They save staff time and maximise uptime while we are more able to forecast the workload of our technicians.”
