Remedy for hospital waste
June 1st 2006

St James Hospital in Portsmouth is benefiting from a Pakawaste waste management solution.

Previously, a 14 cubic yard compactor from a competitor had been used at the site. However, when this needed replacing the hospital contacted Pakawaste for a free site survey.

Pakawaste recommended a Portakrush 1000 20 cubic yard portable compactor.

Depending on waste type, the Portakrush 1000 can reduce waste volumes by up to 5:1.

Staff at the hospital had no problems with the transition to operating the new machinery.
