Two-in-one solution for material waste
June 1st 2007 Pakawaste has recently
provided a Powerkube XL to
North West Leicestershire
District Council in order to
facilitate their requirement
for a dual material waste
management system.
The Powerkube XL is said
to reduce waste in volume by
up to 90%. The waste is
pressed into mill sized bales
measuring 1143 x 1490 x
762mm and weighing
approximately 500kg.
The machine has a
potential throughput of up to
2000kg per hour, applying 30
tonnes of pressure, making it
suitable for a number of
different materials. An
additional feature was the
fitting of a sliding hopper and
bottle piercer, this allows the
operator to switch usage
from plastic bottles to
cardboard at the press of a
button, the machine can be
hand fed or loaded with a
