Vehicles make a greener meadow December 1st 2007 The Meadowhall shopping
centre in Sheffield has
replaced a diesel tractor
with a more energy
efficient electric truck from
Bradshaw Electric
Vehicles. The truck will
assist with waste collection
throughout the site, which
has 270 shops and 400,000
visitors a week. The FB3 is a
versatile 2.5 tonne burden
carrier which comes with
power steering as standard.
It can tow up to four tonnes
and has a number of body
options to suit the
application. Bradshaw offers
a free site evaluation to
make sure the vehicle suits
the task and environment.
Driver familiarisation is
included in the cost of the
vehicle.
"The vehicle will be used
to transport waste, in 1100
litre bins, to our Resource
Recovery Centre where we
segregate waste for
recycling," says Mark
Allison, environment and
audit manager for
Meadowhall. More articles from Bradshaw Electric Vehicles: |
