Spray away snow

Broadwood International, has introduced the SnowEx VSS range of liquid de-icing sprayers. Sprayers are particularly suitable for sensitive areas where salt may corrode fittings or machines, or may damage foliage surrounding the area.

"The operator can apply ice-melt product with pin-point accuracy, and in a quick and efficient manner," says Roy Wolfenden, general manager at Broadwood. "We're seeing spraying as an increasingly popular practice, particularly with landscapers and in sensitive areas such as airports." Robust polyethylene tanks contain the de-icing liquid, which is applied via a powerful 12v pump to the spray boom and hand lance. The spray boom is fitted with five spray nozzles on the main downward boom and a nozzle at each end to provide kerb and pavement treatments. These nozzles can be switched on or off independently of each other.
