Four new depots and a director August 1st 2007 UPN has announced the
opening of four new UK
depots, together with the
appointment of Glenn
Boldy as network services
director, following
increased market demand
after the launch of its realtime
IT system.
Brian Gibbins Transport
and Pallet Route Solutions
have joined UPN from
another pallet network. T &
R Phillips and CJ Edwards
are also providing UPN with
pallet collection and
delivery services. Boldy has
been working closely with
UPN to help it roll out its
new XDA based signature
capture system. This allows
customers to be able to
view an electronic signature
on the central UPN website
within seconds of delivery,
wherever the pallet is being
sent in the UK.
The solution was
developed in-house by
UPN, working with
development tools from
Microsoft, using the latest
.NET framework and
standard XDAs. More articles from United Pallet Network (UK) Ltd: |
