Roller shutter on a r June 1st 2007 The Bread Roll Company,
based in St Albans, is a
leading manufacturer of
bread and rolls for many of
the UK's supermarket
groups. The company has
just invested nearly three
quarters of a million pounds
on a brand new 4,500 sq ft
extension and new bakery
production equipment. The
new building also included a
stores area where a roller
shutter door was required
for the external face of the
premises, so the company
called upon Ro-Dor.
The company's PVCu roller
shutter doors are widely
used throughout every part
of the UK food industry in
preparation areas,
processing departments and
chill rooms. Ro-Dor also
supplies dock
levellers to assist
the efficient
loading or
unloading of the
various height
vehicles that visit.
Nigel Morton,
Ro-Dor's food
industry specialist,
surveyed the site
and
recommended a
three phase
powered external
fit white door
with a canopy finished in
white. An existing externally
operated photo-cell
automatic opener and closer
was re-used while an
additional photo-cell safety
barrier was also fitted. The
three phase motor has a
0.5m per second opening
and closing speed with
automatic timed closure.
Each Ro-Dor is
manufactured to exact
specifications using doubleskinned
PVCu lathes which
provide good thermal
insulation and help to retain
ambient temperatures while
also being sturdy enough to
take some of the knocks
and bangs of busy
production. More articles from Ro-Dor Ltd: |
