Caljan’s Dok Guardian keeps Unipart safe and sound

Caljan Rite-Hite has installed a Dok-Guardian safety barrier at Unipart Logistics.

Unipart provides warehousing, distribution, supply chain management and consultancy services.

The installation of the Dok- Guardian will prevent forklift trucks and pedestrians from falling off loading docks. In the event that the Dok- Guardian is opened when there is no vehicle present the dock, an audible alarm will sound and warning lights will flash. The same thing will happen in the event of vehicles moving too far away from the bumper face during the loading/unloading operation.

Unipart also invested in some dock levellers – telescopic lip levellers that give a high level of flexibility with regard to the positioning of the lip on the vehicle bed. This is usually required when the vehicles that are being loaded/ unloaded are too full, as a conventional swing lip leveller would not have enough room to extend.
