Hats off to new safety cap
January 1st 2011 JSP has raised the standard with its
HardCap A1+ which is said to
withstand a 500g impact dropped
from 0.5m from any
direction up to 60
degrees off- centre,
and extends the
spike penetration
protection to the
same extent. This
is one of the first
bump caps to
conform to EN812+A1 and is said to
offer greater protection than
required by the standard.
The HardCap A1+ comes in
several colour combinations
including Hi Viz orange. Reflective
piping that edges the cap increases
visibility, and the choice of three
peak sizes makes the product
suitable for many indoor
and outdoor working
situations. HardCap
A1+ provides
protection from
bumps and
scrapes to the
side of the head as well as
crown protection. The cap is not
seamed in the logo area and can be
