Eggcellent matting

EWH Moores packs millions of eggs annually for onward shipment to retailers. To reduce the risk of packing staff slipping on the steeply sloped metal walkways – and therefore jeopardising the fragile product as well as their own safety – the company decided to lay Flexigrid 2002 from Plastic Extruders.

The black open grid matting, manufactured from 100% PVC, is designed to be multi-tasking, ranging from use as a heavy duty floor covering to external door entrance matting.

Non-porous, the matting is suited to production processes which generate dirt, grime, oil spillages or metal debris. Importantly, the matting’s extra deep etched surface provides high slip-resistance, is comfortable underfoot and will reduce working fatigue, according to the company.
