Matting helps prevent slip-ups and fatigue August 1st 2008 Herongripa matting from
Plastic Extruders is providing
employees with safe working
conditions at the DHL food
and packaging distribution
centre in Cannock.
The matting is laid on both
sides of the conveyor line
used for processing and
repackaging of goods. It is
slip resistant and comfortable
to stand on which makes it
safe underfoot while
reducing fatigue.
The company says the
matting's special
characteristics have particular
benefits for the food and
drink processing industries.
For example, the open grid
format is wider than normal
to allow the efficient dispersal
of waste products and liquids
or the retention of slippery
matter on the surface.
It is made from animal fatresistant
vinyl which, with
sanitised additives, provides
anti-fungal and anti-microbial
protection.
The orange matting will
contour over rough or uneven
surfaces and is easy to cut
and fit on site. It comes in 5
and 10m long rolls and in
widths of 60, 91 and 122cm.
Factory fitted profiles are
available to provide ramped
edges suitable for trolleys. More articles from Plastic Extruders Limited: |
