Versatile mobile access platform October 1st 2009 Forklift truck specialist Abex has
launched its new mobile access
platform, the MAP3, which, it
claims, is a safer, simpler and more
cost effective solution to high-level
window and bodywork repair and
maintenance.
The electric powered rechargeable
truck is controlled from the platform
and is easy to manoeuvre with
pinpoint accuracy. Able to carry up
to three personnel plus equipment,
the MAP3 reduces the manual
handling required by other access
platform equipment, for significantly
safer operations.
The simple and effective design
allows the platform to be quickly
adjusted to specific profiles, ensuring
a neat and tight fit. Other safety
features include a locking system,
which immobilises the unit when the
front gates are moved out of the way
for working and extending sidebars
for a safe and secure operator
environment. Stable and tilt resilient,
the MAP3 has been tested to exceed
current legislation.
Depots already using the ABEX
MAP3 report a very positive effect
on maintenance and repair
procedures, and have also found it
valuable for general duties such as
lighting and workshop door
maintenance. More articles from Abex Ltd: |
