10 years of safe trucks
August 1st 2008 Combilift introduced its
first 4-way forklift onto the
market in 1998, and there
are now over 8000 units in
operation. Combilifts work
inside and out and can
replace a combination of
sideloaders and
counterbalance trucks for
streamlined, space-saving
handling.
Combilift is celebrating its
10th anniversary this year,
and the company says from
the outset, the range was
designed to offer extremely
safe operation. Low level
sideways transportation of
long loads on the truck's
platform avoids risky high
level manoeuvring – a
major cause of fork truck
accidents.
A range of around 15
models is now available
with lift capacities of
2.5–14t, with options of
diesel, LPG or electric
power.
