Longer lasting lines in the area
April 1st 2008

inotec has developed a new marking system to define forklift traffic and pedestrian areas in the workplace.

DURAline is designed to be a long lasting solution that avoids issues of constant repainting and restriction of operations.

Installed by inotec's SAFEcontractor team, the system has three stages.

Laser measuring devices mark out the agreed area.

Then the floor is prepared.

Dirt is mechanically removed so that the paint bonds to the floor's top surface. As no chemical preparations are used in the cleaning, the lines can be removed according to future needs.

Using an expoxy based paint, a specialist linepainting machine applies the lines. Additional floor signs can be added using specialist preparation or sprayed using stencils.

The company has been developing DURAline over the past three years. "In discussions with our customers when carrying out barcode installations, it became evident that many were dissatisfied with the painted line's durability and quality," says Paul Brunton, inotec's sales director. He adds that the company has installed over 150km of lines at various sites in the past year.
