Toyota Material Handling has received its SAFEcontractor accreditation for 2011.

SAFEcontractor is a third party accreditation scheme that assesses health and safety arrangements. The scheme has been designed to take the hassles out of health and safety by helping customers to manage their list of approved contractors more effectively.

Grant Taylor, quality-safety manager at Toyota Material Handling said: "We have been involved in the scheme for over ten years and we have found this scheme to be the most thorough as it assesses not only our health and safety but also aspects of our quality and environmental management systems. It covers everything from insurance to accidents, policies to training. Safety is an important part of the Toyota culture and we are proud to be involved in the SAFEcontractor accreditation scheme."
