High hopes for new forklifts October 1st 2008 Windsor Komatsu and
Access recently secured a 5
year contract with
prestigious John K Philips
Group for three Komatsu
BX50 FG25 counterbalance
forklift trucks.
The delivery service
provider and distributor for
the paint and chemical
industry required a
materials handling solution
for new contracts with Ball
packaging and SCA
packaging at its new
purpose built site in St
Helens. The forklift trucks
were required to lift two
pallets at a time to speed
operation and to store to a
height of 5500mm in the
new facility to maximise
space.
After initial consultation
and a site survey it was
deemed that the Komatsu
FG25's fitted with a 5.5
metre three stage mast and
double pallet handlers were
the appropriate trucks for
the job. J K Philips were very
impressed with the trucks
especially as one of the
benefits of the Komatsu
BX50 range of forklifts is the
tandem hydraulic pump.
This gives the fastest lifting
speeds in its class when
idling, negating the need
for high revving of the
engine when lifting and
stacking, giving massive
savings on fuel usage and
emissions. More articles from Windsor Materials Handling Ltd: |
