Prepared for work noise regulations?
August 1st 2005

New noise at work regulations are expected to come into force on 15th February 2006. The new regulations will lower the noise level at which employers must make hearing protection available from 85dB(A) to 80dB(A), resulting, according to Safetyshop, in an estimated one million extra workers falling under the protection of the new European Directive 2003/10/EC.

In anticipation of the new regulations, Safetyshop has extended its product range.

New products include: a competitively priced sound level meter; risk assessment software, wallcharts and pocket guides; a range of ear defenders, ear muffs and earplugs; and safety signs to inform employees when they are entering a noisy area.
