New training heights
February 1st 2009 In November 2008 Mentor
took over the Materials
Handling Training Centre at
the Corus site in Redcar,
Teesside. Now refurbished,
the centre is open for other
customers to take advantage
of the excellent facilities. The
faculty has a training area of
over 20 000ft2 and four
classrooms allowing a range
of courses to take place at
any one time.
IPAF accredited, the site
has a 40ft clear internal
height, allowing access
platform training to take
place inside whatever the
weather.
Courses currently on offer
at Teesside include: forklift
trucks (all types); overhead
cranes (cab, pendant and
remote); access platforms;
manual handling; safety
awareness; and slinging and
signaling.
Mentor has also opened a
new Scottish training centre
