Acumen wins daimay contract
December 1st 2009 Acumen Logistics Group is
continuing its penetration of the
auto logistics market by winning a
contract from Chinese automotive
polyurethane product manufacturer,
DaiMay. Acumen is providing
DaiMay with an integrated logistics
package for the supply of headrests
to UK Automotive Manufacturers. It
is anticipated that 540,000 pieces will
be shipped to the UK each year.
Reported to be providing a
seamless turnkey operation, Acumen
will manage the flow of goods and
services from receiving shipping
containers of headrests at its
warehouse in Redditch, to delivery to
the customers. The total solutions
package includes devanning the
containers, visual inspection,
repacking into line side boxes,
storage and then shipping on a justin-
time basis.
In addition, Acumen is also
providing ongoing quality control
support at its warehouse and at
