Bag in a box to transport liquids
April 1st 2007

Allibert Buckhorn has launched its new Citadel V container, showcased for the first time at this year's IMHX.

An updated version of the previous bag in a box model, this product has been specifically designed with a bottom valve discharge for the transportation of nonhazardous liquids.

The focus of the specification was on health and safety optimisation, operational efficiency as well as cost reduction.

The six-runner base is suitable for use on conveyors, it is easy for forklifts to stack and its strength is enhanced by spreading the load across the entire base.

Additional strength is also provided by the container's reinforced walls, enabling three fully loaded Citadel V containers to be stacked on top of one another, optimising the use of storage space.

An added benefit is the incorporation of drainage channels on the lid that prevent collected rain water adding weight to the load or contaminating clean areas.

"We wanted to provide the ultimate bag in a box container for our customers," says Peter Rowcraft, national sales manager for Allibert Buckhorn.

"Every aspect of the liquids handling process was considered during the development and as a result, we've created a product that provides a range of benefits and optimum flexibility."
