DTS Logistics has won the contract to manage fashion retailer New Look’s automated national DC at Newcastle-Under-Lyme.
With operations at the 400,000 ft2 site scheduled to commence in Autumn, DTS will manage the transport and distribution operation on a hub and spoke basis with additional outbases strategically situated across the UK.
The new NDC is fully equipped with automated distribution conveyors stretching for over 16kms – encompassing overhead garment transport systems, sortation systems for hanging garments, mini load storage and retrieval and crane pallet handling systems and conveyors.
“We have provided New Look with a largely automated operation in response to the need for rapid merchandise availability,” says DTS.
