LYNX opens purpose-built new branch August 1st 2005
LYNX Express has opened a new purpose-built branch near Bothwell, Scotland in a £4m investment.
It is the biggest single investment ever made in Scotland by Lynx and is a direct result of out growing its former branch due to increasing volumes.
The new facility is based on a greenfield site over three acres at the Newhouse Industrial Estate, about six miles from the old Lynx branch at Bothwell. The warehouse building is over 45,000ft2 with 50 doors.
Added to that is 6200ft2 of office space for a new call centre.
The new building boasts several new features over the previous branch at Bothwell.
For example within the three floor level areas, a ramp allows small vehicles to enter the building. The interior houses a new conveyor system as well as the latest IT hardware and software systems. |
