Sainsbury’s signs up OEM Group’s seals
August 1st 2005

OEM Group has landed the largest ever single order for its ‘Secureseal’ re-usable security seal.

OEM is supplying up to 1000 units to Sainsbury’s, which will retro-fit them across its UK trailer fleet.

Sainsbury’s has been fitting Secureseal.Data models to all new trailers for some years and was one of the first large UK fleets to fit the units in place of disposable seals.

Secureseal.Data offers a reliable, low maintenance ‘tamper evident’ seal and is upgradable – facilitating automatic data collection using RFID.

Secureseal units will also be fitted to a number of new trailers being added to the fleet during the course of the year.

“Secureseal has been the most cost effective re-usable seal option for our trailer fleet,” says Iain Hay, Sainsbury’s National Loss Prevention Manager. “We will make substantial savings as a direct result.”
