FDL opens Midlands delivery hub
February 1st 2007 Single source packaging solutions supplier, FDL Packaging Group, has opened a new Dudley-based warehousing and distribution centre to further strengthen its capabilities across Southern England and the West Midlands. At the hub of the M5/M6 motorway corridor, the facility provides 15,000ft2 of storage space and significant vehicular access. According to FDL, it will enable the further enhancement of its JIT delivery capabilities, as well as increasing stock levels and reducing delivery lead times. With business showing a six-fold growth over the last five years – and group turnover increased by 30% in the last 12 months – FDL is reported to be meeting its objective of becoming the country's leading packaging solutions manufacturer, stockist and distributor.
