Sleeving system cuts the mustard August 1st 2009
One of France's leading food
and beverage manufacturers,
Charbonneaux Brabant of
Reims, has chosen Graham
Sleeving Systems to provide
a high speed sleeving line to
upgrade its range of mustard
products.
The firm wanted to place
tamper evident sleeves onto
filled clear glass jars and
French mustard ceramic jars.
Seven different product
formats were used, with each
format having a vertical preperforation
and a red start
tamper band, to provide a
simple yet highly effective
security seal.
The second part of the
required specification was to
have the ability to full body
sleeve as a replacement to
paper labelling, which they
have found to be a must in
many of their export markets.
To meet the wide variety of
glass jar sizes a Graham
RF150 Sleever was
purchased,which suits a
variety of product sizes, and
allows different change parts
to be fitted quickly and easily.
To shrink the tamper-evident
sleeve or the full-body sleeve,
the medium of steam was
chosen as being the most
suitable for perfect product
presentation. This was
achieved adding a Graham
Steam Shrink Tunnel, the
whole sleeving operation
fitting into less than 7 meters,
and allowing the new system
to be integrated into their
existing production line
immediately after the filling
and capping facility.
The system's success is
now generating interest from
other Charbonneaux sites. More articles from Graham Engineering (Essex) Ltd: |
