Triangular tube's a winner December 1st 2007 DS Smith Packaging's 'one
pack for all' triangular postal
tube has won this year's
Corrugated Packaging
Award at the 2007 UK
Packaging Awards.
Amazon has used it to
reduce the range of postal
tubes it uses by two thirds
and assembly times have
dropped by nine percent.
Delivered flat (achieving
bulk savings of 900 per cent
over tubes), it uses an
integral adhesive tape laid in
position for easy assembly
and closure.
The pack uses 30 per cent
less material than previous
packaging (which also saves
postal costs) and is made
from 98 per cent recycled
testliner. The whole pack is
acceptable by paper mills for
recycling. More articles from DS Smith Packaging: |
