An Aerospace company and one of its main subcontractors have installed 11 Guyson Orbit 600 rotary basket washers as a cost effective solution for degreasing flap actuation gears in production machining cells and during service overhauls of aircraft components. Built from heavy gauge stainless steel, the washers have 60l/min stainless steel pumps that draw heated wash solution from a well insulated 100l tank fitted with a 6kW heater. Pumped at pressures to 4.2bar, the heated aqueous cleaning solution is discharged under pressure through close proximity V spray jets directly at components in wire baskets with quick release tops.
