TIMCON training programme April 1st 2009
TIMCON is poised to
launch its own training
programme to enhance
the knowledge and skills
of employees in the timber packaging
and pallet business.
The programme, which will be both
exclusive and free to TIMCON members,
will consist of twenty-nine modules –
five of which are compulsory – covering
issues from health & safety, legislation
compliance, and material knowledge and
understanding. It will be available to
download from the members' area of the
www.timcon.org website, or as a hard
copy, and is designed to be taught by a
designated member of staff in-house at
each company.
Upon completion of the modules, the
employee and the company receive
certification, including use
of the quality Timcon
training mark.
"We understand the
importance of improving industry skills
and ensuring our members are aware of
ever changing legislations and issues,"
says TIMCON president, John Dye. The
training programme will provide an
excellent resource to enhance
knowledge, add credibility and encourage
progression and passion for our industry.
"We are the voice of our members and
equally, they are the voices of the
industry, and it is crucial that the
repairable, recyclable, and reusable
qualities of wood are recognised,
understood and delivered." More articles from Timcon: |
