TIMCON's free ISPM15 guide

Confederation
(TIMCON) has
issued a free
booklet that
clearly and
succinctly
explains current
issues relating
to ISPM15.
Effectively a global
passport for wood pallets
and packaging, it represents
the internationally agreed
standard for the treatment of
all forms of packaging made
from solid wood, helping
protect forests globally from
disease. Already recognised
in the UK, EU and North
America, China also became
a signatory this
year.
As of March this
year all wood
packaging
material shipped
to the USA must
be ISPM15
compliant or run
the risk of US
Customs issuing
claims for
liquidated damages and/or
penalties against importers,
carriers or bonded custodians
for importing wood
packaging materials in
violation of the regulations.
