Auto-splicing for top performance June 1st 2008 Mosca's MCB-2 in-line
squarer bundler strapper for
the corrugated iron industry
has been enhanced with
auto-splicing and hinge-top
opening for improved
performance and user
operation. Auto-splicing is
achieved using two coils.
When one coil ends, the
machine automatically
switches to the other so that
the operator can put on a
new coil without stopping
the line. The hinge-top
opening enables access for
maintenance.
"The MCB-2 is designed
for easy installation and
convenient operation," says
Peter Foster MD of Mosca
Direct (the UK subsidiary).
"The new features deliver on
these factors."
The MCB-2's existing
innovations include an
electro-mechanical press for
product compression that is
integrated into the strapping
unit for overall simplicity,
and powered adjustment of
the machine centre line. This
feature is useful for bundles
that are not centred or
where strapping off-centre is
a regular requirement. The
squaring and strapping units
are no longer designed as
separate modules. They are
situated in one welded steel
plate machine body for
easier installation and
moving. The integrated
squaring-strapping concept
uses variable frequency
drives and brushless DC
technology. Throughput
capacity is 27 inline bundles
per minute. Strapping is in
line in the flute direction. More articles from Mosca Direct Ltd: |
