Strapex has space-saving
October 1st 2007

Strapex has further extended its range with two new families of pallet stretchwrapping machines. The new SWA range of semi-automatic pallet wrappers incorporates a rotating arm, which encircles the pallet with wrapping film while the pallet remains stationary. The lack of centrifugal forces means stress and strain on both the load and the equipment is minimised, making this equipment suitable for very heavy, fragile or unstable loads. The machines require minimal space as no turntable or ramp access and no hold down device is required. They can be pillar or wall mounted, and offer four programmable wrapping programs with eight functions. Up to 35 pallets per hour can be wrapped. The SWA products are suited to production plants with hygiene regulations, as the floor is left clear. They can accommodate pallets of up to 2900mm in height, with maximum pallet area of 1250mm x 1250mm. An optional pull-out rotating arm allows this to be extended to 1400mm x 1400mm. The SWR range of ring system pallet wrappers is suitable for either standalone use or full integration into mainstream production. Film insertion, wrapping, cording up at the film end and film cutting are all automatic, and again the pallet remains stationary during wrapping, which can be started and finished at any height required.
